A quiet good bye.

Well this is it.

No more Elysium on Daily Texan Newspaper.

Will I draw Elysium comics again someday?

Maybe.

Take one pass it around, 99 bottles of blames to go.

Finals and whats more

Man I really hate this one. I wish I never drew this.

I was just being a dick and testing if the managing editor would catch it when I drew this one.
And they "didn't suspect a thing" and published it! Hahaha.
Look at the first letter of each line and you'll see what the prez was smiling about.

So no one at the office knew what operation sealion was. I thought it was famous, but now that I think about it, I only know that because of either hellsing, or because of that weird neonazi group email invitation. It was prolly hellsing.

I literally came up with the next panel as I was drawing. I had no idea where the hell this was heading, and I just had to abort it at the end.
Kafka, great read.
Oh and check out Night Tales at Scribbledemon.com

Ok, it's 4 in the morning. I finished updating. Now that wasn't too hard.

And the rest....

God I drew this one in a last minute rush. It wasn't too bad though...

I didn't come up with this comic, to be honest. This conversation came up almost word to word when I had a lunch with a girl that same day. I think she's putting a curse on me right now.

Oh god, this is a horrible comic. I think I had a horrible week.

100th Comic!

Jeez I take a long time to update things.
I mean really, it's been like what, a month? I can't quite remember why I was so slow on updates. Was it because of those exams? The projects? Just general lethargy? Probably the lethargy.

Anyway...

Yay I made it 100 strips. I honestly didn't think I would be able to last this long...
But yes, I got to number 100. Who knew.

I wanted it to be the convergence of summer job and elysium to commemorate the work at Daily Texan. (for my own personal selfish greedy reason).  Actually the past comics have all been accumulation of the comics I used to draw. Rolf the Viking, the homicidal maniac, trix rabbit, and horton the elephant...
And also grave robbing is a fun topic. Can't believe people don't censor it. Oh well.

Yup. I'll try to update more often from now on.
Which is only one week.
So it shouldn't be hard.

yup.

also;

NEW SERIES! Fuzzy headed guy in a cloudy... oh I give. It's the president...
Netherworld?
Very trippy place.

98 Bye bye~

The Elysium... in color!
The Daily Texan, for inexplicable reason, decided to run a comic page in color on Monday. Odd.
So to celebrate the occasion, it's the finale! I wish I had more time, so I could alter the colors a little bit.. sigh.

Anyway I'm ending the series by killing off the president! Yay!
I mean, he almost died three times before anyways, so might as well.

Please look forward to the new series, "Ephemeral lie" starting tomorrow!

97

Secretary going musou

Based on a script sent by my good friend James L.
Actually it was supposed to say something like "Fight illiteracy today! Read a book" at the end.
Forgot to add that in. Darn. orz

95, 96

I think, I can never write a romance

Once every semesters, the cartoonists at Daily Texan decide to switch off for a day. Switcheroo.
I draw Mr.A's comic, and Mr. A draws my comic. Well this semester I switched with Michael Bowman of Raj and Boris, a comic about a bear and a helicopter. Really, I can't get any more clearer than that.

The switcheroo of everyone can be seen here at the 6 dollarsplease blog:
You can see it right------> HERE.

And I just realized I didn't have the switcheroo from last semester either. I switched with Nam Nguyen of Psychobevo

You can see it right......HERE

*EDIT
If you're too lazy to visit the blog, well you can just see the comic here (decided to put it on since Mr. Bowman was putting up his on his site as well.)

Elysium Vs Raj and Boris

SWITCHED

Raj looks much nicer in the original comics. I'm sorry Raj. It was just too tempting to draw you like that. I'm sure you'll understand.

Rolf the Viking (94)

It's... it's... It's Rolf the Viking! Good to see him again, Rolf.
For those of you who don't know, (which is everyone save one or two person) he was a main character from the comics I used to draw in high school. Horrible thing it was.
Based on the suggestion to put him in by a good friend J. L. No, not Jennifer Lopez.

93

Subplot is a continuation from the last strip
Somehow he survived.

92

Is it me, or is this strip better without the drawing?

I'm a little amazed that many people didn't understood this at all.

Elysium 3-12-2010 and old comics

I found these old comics in the DT folder! Such memories! I was so young and stupid back then. Now I'm just old and stupid.

...Yup, they were comics I submitted for tryout last year. There were two more comics I submitted but I don't know what happened to them. Oh well.
Well here they are. Little nerdy jokes, but I still think they weren't bad.
...in fact I think they may be funnier than the junks I've been churning out this semester....
sigh... ...and the drawing didn't really get better either, did it?

And also today's Elysium comics, if you're too lazy to pick up a newspaper today. (or far away in, say, college station.)

come on it's spring break next week. I'm too tired to draw a proper comic

More elysium

Meh. Don't really feel like writing anything right now.
Well I have bunch of ideas for the western but that's about it.
But I'll write about them later. I gotta study now.

Huh? Staples? What's that?

So the nice folks at the 6 dollars please (http://6dollarsplease.blogspot.com/) is going to Staples! in Austin http://www.staple-austin.org/... Which apparently is like a comic con or comiket or whatever the heck it's called.  But it's in Austin. That's all that matters.

We knew this for a long time, but then I started to get these weird emails from the comics editor talking about how there's a need for people to spot the table, how we need to prepare blah blah. "What? I know 6 dollars guys are fellow colleagues, but why do we have to do so much?"
Reading the email more carefully, it turns out the DAILY TEXAN COMIC is going there as well, at  a last minute notice. Yeah, three day before the thing, we figure this out. So now we have to haul ass and get the pamphlet together.

So what's DT comics going to offer, you say? Well the best of our works, the Whodunnit, as well as banned ones never before seen by the public eye, so come to Staples and check them out.

oh and here's the rest of this week's strips

You get an A if you can correctly answer what each food item is referring to.

I had this idea for long time but could never figure out what game to use. Well, this one didn't turn as good as I hoped. Little forced.

2−26

President Zousse's idea for a new videogame.

President was escorted out after 5 minutes.

2-24

This one sort of ended up like an character development strip. No real joke. Whoops. Oh well.

It's actually an amalgam of bunch of ideas I had. Narcissistic Zousse, secretary with a scary drawing (they have issues), president kinda looks like Ronald McDonald, and having a high Engel coefficient. Dammit, I wrote index, didn't I?
Whoops. Oh well.

2-22?

I usually don't update the blog until after the comic has been printed but...
I'm prolly gonna forget tomorrow so I'm doing it today.

Too much words!
Bad Ryohei, bad!

edit: Oh crap, I just realized 6 dollars please was doing a PSA last week. How could I have forgotten! Bad Ryohei, bad! No more twinkies for you!
The weird thing is I had like 7 ideas for a comic and 3 hours before it was due, I decided to start from scratch and do something else. Huh.

HAPPY MUSCLE DAY!

So... on the 1 year anniversary Elysium, I asked if anybody wanted to see Muscle Elysium. Well one person did. (Much more than you expected? Crazy, I know.) So here it is!
There was an alternative version too, but the 1st one was published in the end.

alternate version. Mr. Po is left out of lot things.

Also an Elysium comic on the issue of LGBT
I think I'll experiment with facial expressions more this semester.

One thing I learned from drawing muscles is.... that I don't know how to draw them. orz

Start of new semester, Anniversary, and Valentines, Oh my

I actually updated!
drawn by Sammy M., Creator of Night Tales (in celebration of my birthday). Check him out at scribbledemon.com!

UUUUhhhhhh. Things happened, I can't get stuff right these days and I'm a little late on updating.
Hello?
Hello?
Is anyone still there? Oh no, nobody looks at this page anymore. I mean, not much people did in the first place but now, wow.

Well here's the comics that's been publishing for the past few days, and hopefully I will be more on top with the updating.

As one of the new tryout put it, "whoever drew this doesn't know how to draw". She's right.... orz

Panties!

I think I was playing Dragon Quest at the time.

BAM!

What? Yes that's right, it's been one year anniversary since this comic strip started! Feb 11th was the first publishing date. Whoohoo! It's a fucking miracle I actually lasted a year at Daily Texan. Wow. And also the day before this was my birthday too, so the nice folks at scribbledemon.com , creator of Weirdest City, Night Tales, and Smoothie Home from last semester celebrated it with cartoons (like one at the top). Very nice people. Go check their comics out, they're good!

Happy Valentines day!

HAPPY NEW YEAR Announcements

YEAH HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It's the year of the tiger! Apparently.

So I've been working on a 6 page comic these past days, and hopefully it will get uploaded soon.

In the mean while, here's some interesting news about 3D TV.

About Me

My photo
I draw for Daily Texan Comics on a college newspaper. And by "draw", I actually mean scribbling chicken scratch and be amazed at the hospitality of the Daily Texan for publishing it each time.
